One Ring to Rule them All: The Onion Ring
We start making the onion rings by cutting onion slices of medium thickness. Afterward, we mix the flour with salt, pepper, and baking powder to prepare the breading. We then coat the fresh onion rings in this breading and subsequently soak them in a fluid mix of milk, pepper, and egg. Lastly, we coat the saturated rings with the breadcrumbs and put them into the preheated frying oil. When it reaches a golden color, we take them out and drain their excess oil.
Afterward, we serve these onion rings as an appetizer. Although the onion rings are generally consumed with ketchup and mayonnaise, we advise you to dip them in the tzatziki sauce to have a better and more refreshing taste.
