A Dish Suitable for the Pharaohs
Chickpeas are the main ingredients that we use to make falafel sandwiches. Chickpeas are left in the water overnight to get them very soft. They are blended with cilantro, parsley, onion, cumin, cayenne, garlic, lemon juice, and salt and pepper in a blender until they gain a creamy texture. We then form middle-sized fritters and fry them for a while. When they are done frying, they are moved on to a napkin to remove their extra oil.
After the falafel sandwich bread, which is heated on a pan, we put these fried falafel patties into the falafel sandwich bread. Lastly, we serve the falafel wrap with a falafel sandwich sauce which includes tahini paste, olive oil, garlic, parsley, salt, and lemon juice.
